PRODUCTS ACCEPTED:                                      

                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

►PLASTICS # 1 and # 2                   

PLEASE RINSE BOTTLES and DISCARD LIDS. 

Lids are a different type of plastic & cannot be mixed.

 

·       Plastics # 1 CLEAR & COLORED:  clear & colored water and soda bottles, fresh fruit & vegetable containers, syrup, mayo, ketchup & mustard containers, dish detergent bottles, vitamins

 

·       Plastics # 2 CLEAR:  milk cartons, many half-gallon and gallon food containers, cat litter

 

·       Plastics # 2 COLORED:  laundry and cleaning products, some vitamin & medicine bottles

 

►ALUMINUM CANS – Sort beverage from non-beverage.

 

►STEEL /TIN CANS – PLEASE RINSE!  Most food cans.  OK to flatten, labels OK.

 

►CARDBOARD AND PAPER PRODUCTS - PLEASE SORT INTO THESE CATEGORIES:

 

·       CORRUGATED CARDBOARD:  basically clean & dry, with no food, grease or oil stains.

 

·       WHITE PAPER  (Sorted White Ledger):  Copy paper, Letterhead, white cardstock, printing & copying scraps.  Green-bar computer paper. Colored ink & staples are ok.

NO JUNK MAIL or ENVELOPES in this bin.

 

·       OFFICE PAPER:  junk mail, all envelopes, colored paper, construction paper, file folders,     manila envelopes, label paper

 MIXED PAPER:  fiberboard (any boxes that aren’t corrugated), waxed-paper/board milk, orange juice & ice cream cartons, paper dog/cat/bird/horse food bags WITHOUT PLASTIC LINERS

 NEWSPAPER:  No need to remove the inserts!! It is all considered newspaper!

 

·       PHONE BOOKS, MAGAZINES, CATALOGS

 

►INK CARTRIDGES                             

NO GLASS. Please take glass to the Ponca City Recycling Center.  Please do not drop off items outside the building!

Recycle OK! is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The Center is staffed by volunteers during all open hours.
