PRODUCTS ACCEPTED:
►PLASTICS # 1 and # 2
PLEASE RINSE BOTTLES and DISCARD LIDS. Lids are a different type of plastic & can not be mixed.
LOOK FOR THE RECYCLE TRIANGLE WITH A NUMBER INSIDE
· Plastics # 1 CLEAR: clear water and soda bottles, fresh fruit and vegetable containers, syrup,
mayo, ketchup & mustard containers, dish detergent bottles, some cleaning products
· Plastics # 1 COLORED: colored water and soda bottles - Dasani, Sprite, 7-Up, Root Beer, etc.
· Plastics # 2 CLEAR: milk cartons, many half-gallon and gallon food containers, cat litter jugs
· Plastics # 2 COLORED: laundry and cleaning products, some vitamin & medicine bottles
►ALUMINUM CANS – PLEASE RINSE! Soda & beer, Vienna sausage, some pet foods. OK to flatten.
►STEEL / TIN CANS – PLEASE RINSE! Most food cans. OK to flatten, labels OK.
►CARDBOARD AND PAPER PRODUCTS - PLEASE SORT INTO THESE CATEGORIES:
· CORRUGATED CARDBOARD: basically clean & dry, with no food, grease or oil stains.
· MIXED PAPER: fiberboard (any boxes that aren’t corrugated), discarded mail, colored office,
construction paper, file folders, advertisements or inserts from newspapers, manila envelopes,
paper bags of all colors.
· NEWSPAPER: Please remove slick and shiny inserts. Inserts can go into mixed paper.
· WHITE OFFICE OR COPIER PAPER: Letterhead, envelopes, printing & copying scraps.
OK to have colored ink. Includes green bar computer paper.
NOT ACCEPTING AT THIS TIME: glass, shredded paper, magazines, catalogs, phone or other books.
Please take these items to the Ponca City Recycling Center.
